Arthur Charles Warner
Arthur Charles Warner, 96, died Sunday, May 18, 2003.
He was a farmer and a good steward of the land. He was a talented worker
of metal and was particularly proud of the iron railings he designed and
crafted for the Claibourne United Methodist Church. A versatile
mechanic, he built the first two motorized school buses in the area. He
was a member of the Claibourne United Methodist Church, an associate
member of the Sun-n-Fun Community Church in Florida and considered the
Claibourne Advent Christian Church an important part of the community.
He enjoyed his Claibourne community and his winters in Sarasota, Fla.
Although he was physically slowed by ill health, he kept his sharp mind
and keen wit. His greatest joy was visiting with friends and relatives.
He was born July 3, 1906, to the late Elmore and Lina Snedeker Warner
and was predeceased by two brothers, Walter and Maurice and a sister,
Mary McCafferty. He was married to Ellen Potts Dec. 24, 1931, in
Coshocton by the Rev. E.K. Barrs and she died Aug. 19, 1988.
He is survived by his daughter, Patt Warner Houk; 10 nieces and nephews
and their families; several cousins; and many, many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Ballinger
Funeral home in Richwood. Pastors Joe Rhea and Glenn Decker will
officiate and burial will be at the Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may
call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be his nephews, Ned Potts, Charles Warner, Lee
McCafferty, Gary Carrel, Tim Livingston and Joe Howald. Honorary
pallbearers will be Robert Howald, Pearl Johnston, Richard Ridge and
Arch Lindsay of the Richwood area and Harley Hart of Marengo.

Church, 26434 Claibourne Road, Richwood, Ohio 43344, or the Greater
