Carol Avery Route 2, LaRue Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue with the Rev. James Mason officiating. Burial will be in LaRue Cemetery. He died at 5:45 a.m. today at the home of his son in Marion. He had been in ill health for six months. He was born July 11, 1891, in Marion County to Ernest E. and Henrietta (Mustain) Converse. On Sept. 24, 1911, he married Viola Florence Kurtz in Windsor, Canada and she survives. He was a retired farmer and a member of the LaRue Sportsmans Club, the IOOF Lodge in New Bloomington and was a former member of the PFT Club in LaRue when it was in service. Also surviving are one son, Kenneth M. of Marion; three grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; two brothers, LaMonie of Richwood and Ernest of Marion; and one sister, Rayda Bailey of Wapakoneta. A daughter Cleda and one brother preceded him in death. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.
