Mary Matea, 88 134 Swain Ave., LaRue Services will be held at 1:30
p.m. Wednesday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in La Rue by the Rev. R. Thomas, with burial in Meeker Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday afternoon and evening.
The former Meeker resident died at East Lawn Manor at 6:10 a.m. Sunday. She had been ill four years.
She was born Jan. 29,1886, in Montgomery Township, Marion County, to Peter and Susan (Burley) Poulsen. She was married in
December, 1920, to Edgar Spangler, who died in September, 1953. She was a member of the Meeker United Methodist Church.
She and her husband owned and operated the grocery store in Meeker for 30 years.
