Nelson James, Sr., 58 262 Pole Lane Rd., Marion The 50 year former resident of Hardin County was dead on arrival July 15, 1974 at Marion General Hospital at 2:30 a.m. today. He was born Dec. 23, 1915 in Buck Township to John and Caroline (James) Battles. Once a farmer, he began working for the Marion Correctional Institution eight years ago. He was a member of Wolf Creek United Methodist Church. He married Juanita Lucille Jolliff April 10, 1938 in Rawson and she survives. Other survivors include two sons, Nelson J., Jr. of Mt. Victory and Lawrence J. of Rossford; two daughters, Mrs. Gene (Helen) Dulin of Kennard, Indiana and Mrs. Harold (Jane) Windham of Pocatello, Idaho; 11 grandchildren; two brothers, George of Richwood and Phillip of Mt. Victory; four sisters, Mrs. Lenore Bradley of Marion, Mrs. Naomi Lane of Kenton, Mrs. Flossie Baker and Mrs. Mary Lou Neeley of Mesa, Arizona. Arrangements are being handled by the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue with interment in Wolfcreek Cemetery. This is archival information that was taken from (perhaps old) paper documents.
