David K. Butz
KENTON—A rural Mount Victory youth was fatally injured   when   his   motorcycle
rammed the rear of an automobile about two miles north of Kenton at 8:05 p.m. Tuesday Sept 26, 1973.
David K. Butz, 20, of RR 1, Mount Victory, died in Lima Memorial Hospital at 2:15 a.m. today. He had been taken to the Lima Hospital after receiving initial treatment for head   and   other  injuries   at
Hardin Memorial Hospital here. Hardin   County   sheriff's
deputies investigated the accident and said both the motorcycle and the car, driven by James W. Robinson, 60, of Kenton, were southbound on Ohio 53 at the intersection of
Hardin County Rd. 110 when the motorcycle slammed into the rear of the car for no apparent
cause. Robinson said he was proceeding southbound on the highway and was not slowing for a turn or stop when his car was hit.
A native of Kenton employed by Wilco Inc. here, David Keith Butz was the son of Richard Clair and Wanda Lindsay Butz of the rural Mount Victory address. He was a member of Hepburn United Me t hod i st Church.
Surviving besides his parents are 2 brothers, Jerry of Marion and Larry at home and a sister, Mrs. Carol Savage of RR 1, LaRue.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Stofcheck Funeral Home at LaRue.   The Rev.
Robert Ingram will officiate. Burial will be in LaRue Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday and during the afternoon   and   at   night   on
Friday.
