Howard Herbert Bailey, 79, of 281 Marsh St., LaRue, died at 11:50 p.m. Saturday Sept 8, 1973 in Hardin Memorial Hospital at Kenton. He had been ill since Aug. 20.
Owner and operator of the Bailey Hardware store in LaRue 58 years, he retired in 1968. He was a member of LaRue United Methodist Church and taught Sunday School 50 years. Seig and Iva Wilcox Bailey were his parents. Mrs. Esther Marie Gerhart Bailey, his wife, died in 1970. Surviving is a brother, M.S. Bailey of Dayton. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Stofcheck Funeral Home at LaRue. The Rev. James Mason will of-ficiate. Burial will be in LaRueI Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 tonight and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 on Tuesday. The family's favorite benevolence is the LaRue Area Park.
