Mrs. Dell Thew Virden, 95, of 1357 Riley Rd., LaRue, died at 9:45 p.m. Thursday Sept 6, 1973 at home after a two-month illness. Her husband, Roy M., died in 1964.
Her parents were John Wesley and Mattie Jane Stewart Thew. She was a member of LaRue United Methodist Church and its Golden Hours Circle. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Elmer Kale of RR 1. Rich-wood; a son, Donald of RR 1, LaRue; 6 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Bertha Burgaugh of Urbana. Stofcheck Funeral Home at LaRue is handling arrangements. Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in Stofcheck Funeral Home at LaRue. The Rev. James Mason will officiate. Burial will be in LaRue Cemetery.
