Benjamin Robert Monk Jr., 61, 196 River St., LaRue, died Monday morning May 18, 1987 in MedCenter Hospital.
He was born in Columbus March 7, 1926, the son of the late Benjamin Robert and Stella Speakman Monk Sr. He was a retired Tecumseh Products employee and World War II veteran. Mr. Monk is survived by a son, Benjamin Robert Monk III, LaRue; two daughters, Tina Marie Arnold, Marion, and Laura Poling, Prospect; five sisters, Dora E. Deckling, Galion, Becky F. Collins, Columbus, Katherine L. Monk, Canton, Martha F. Smith, Orient, and JoAnn C. Barnett, Canton; and a grandchild. The service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, with the Rev. Arthur L. Derry officiating. Burial will follow in LaRue Cemetery.
