John Alson Scranton

Jan 18, 1988-Services for John Alson Scranton will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Stof-check Funeral Home, LaRue, by the Rev. Jerry Lewis, with burial In LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Quality of Life Hospice Program, Marion. He died at 1:10 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18. 1988, at the Community Medical Center Hospital, Marlon. He was born Jan. 4, 1922, in LaRue, to John and Laura (James) Scranton. He married Virginia Hig-gins on July 3, 1947, and she survives. Also surviving are a son, John J. of Worthington; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Lynn) Fitzpatrick of Worthington; and two grandchildren. He was a retired district auditor for Division 6 of the Ohio Department of Transportation. He was a World War II veteran and attended the First Presbyterian Church, Marion.
