Genevieve S. Johnson

New Bloomington resident Genevieve S. Johnson, 86, died Monday evening, nOV 20, 1989 at her home. She was bom in Marion County March 14, 1903, a daughter of Harmin and Ellzaberth M. Imbody Sylvester. The homemaker, who was also a teacher, had taught at one time at Mount Zion High School in Georgia and seventh-grade in LaRue schools. She mainly served as a substitute teacher and tutor in the area, however. Mrs. Johnson was a member of New Bloomington United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women, taught Sunday school for more than 50 years and was church pianist. She was a LaRue High School graduate and graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1925.
