Former area resident Kathleen Jane Stevens, 38, Wichita, Kan., died early this morning Sept. 13, 1989 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.
She was born in Marion June 13, 1951, a daughter of Paul Lightfoot, LaRue, and the late Betty Clements Lightfoot A homemaker, she was a graduate of Ohio University and member of Tau Beta Sigma, a music sorority. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Wichita, was active with its children's choir and was a member of Mary Lenox chapter 98 Order of the Eastern Star, LaRue. She married Michael Stevens in 1974 in Richwood, and he survives. Other survivors are two sons, Kyle and Neil, at home; a brother, Milton Lighfoot, LaRue; and a sister, Mary Sue McCay, Pataskala. A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday in LaRue Cemetery, with the Rev. John S. Boyd officiating. Local arrangements are by Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, where friends may call 5-9 p.m. Sunday. An Eastern Star service will be there at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio University bands, in care of Ohio University Funds, Ohio University, Athens.
