Ernest "Ted" Haines
Ernest "Ted" Haines, 75, 424 Bal-lantine Ave., died Saturday Dec 30, 1989 at Marion Manor Nursing Home after a short illness.
Mr. Haines was bron on June 22, 1914 in Union County, a son of the
late Clarence "Buck" and Opal Wood Haines. Sept. 3, 1936, he married the former Nathalie  Stoner. She proceeded him in death Aug. 11, 1986.
He was retired from Tecumseh Products and a member of the former Somerville United Methodist Church.
He is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Mildred Kems, Santa Maria, Calif., Mrs. Carl (Helen) Ballinger, East Liberty, Mrs. Thomas (Dorothy) Patterson, Richwood, and Mrs. Alvin (Joann) Lindley, Bellfontaine; and an aunt, Mrs. Bertha Schmelzer of Marion. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
The service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home, Rich-wood, with the Rev. Harley Roston officiating. Burial will be in LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marion County Cancer Society.
