Earl Mason James
Earl Mason James, 79, 131 Chest- nut St., LaRue, died Tuesday after- noon March 10, 1990 at Hardin Memorial Hospital,  Kenton, following an illness of seven weeks.    
The native of Wyandot County was bom Feb. 11, 1911, a son of Hughie and Vergie Roush James.
A former employee of the U.S. Post Office, LaRue, he also worked off and on at LaRue Grocery, had farmed and delivered ice and milk in LaRue for  many years. Also, he had been employed with Marion Engineers Depot. Mr. James was a 1930 graduate of  LaRue High School and a member of  LaRue United Methodist Church and chapter 329 of the National Associa- tion of Retired Federal Employees. He was a charter member of LaRue Kiwanis Club and served it as a treasurer, and served on the LaRue Water Board.
On Feb. 11, 1933, in LaRue, he married the former Doris Spracklen, and she survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Ronald E. James, LaRue, Larry R. James, Cable, William L. James, Forest, and Keith N. James, Marion; four brothers, Maurice J. James, Marion, Raymond James, Wellsville, Herbert James, New Bloomington, and John James, Cardington; nine sisters, Lilia Mae James and Mrs. William (Betty) Jones, Marion, Mrs. Irvin (Doris) Roszman, Forest, Mrs. Mabel Biehl, Huntington, Ind., Mrs. John (Marguerite) Hickman and Mrs. Delmar (Thelma) Hickman, Morral, Mrs. Dale (Mary) Hughes, LaRue, Mrs. Virgie Ann Kinsler, New Bloomington, and Mrs. George (Janet) Graham, Prospect; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A brother and a grandchild are deceased.
The service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, with Dr. J. Brien McGarvey officiating. Burial will be in LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. and in the evening Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to LaRue UM C arch.
