Alvin K. "Tom" Thompson
RiCHWOOD — Alvin K. "Tom"  Thompson, 84, Clinton Street, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning May 26, 1990 at Marion General Hospital.
The native of Nelsonville was born Oct. 30, 1905, the son of Joseph and Edna Baker Thompson.
A former employee of the IGA Market here, he had been employed with IGA Foodliner, Marion, for 15 years before retiring. He was of Methodist faith.
Mr. Thompson married the former Ruby Fetter Oct. 3, 1925, in Kenton, and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Tommy A. Thompson, Richwood, and James K. Thompson, LaRue; two daughters, Mrs. Don (Noreen) McPherson, Prospect, and Mrs. Mark (Mozell) Sands, Marion; a sister, Mrs. Albert (Juanita) Sadler, Savannah, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; and 12 greatgrandchildren.
The service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Stofcheck Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred Cheney officiating. Burial will be in Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday.
