Bertha N. Snyder

Bertha N. Snyder, 80, 9608 LaRue-Mount Victory Road, LaRue, died early Tuesday June 1, 1990 at her home. She was born near LaRue May 10, 1910, a daughter of Samuel and Ida Jones Bell. A retired county health nurse, she was employed with the Marion County Health Department 1951-77. Mrs. Snyder was a member of LaRue United Methodist Church and its Martha Mary Circle, LaRue Business Women's Club and LaRue Garden Club. On Sept. 29, 1935, she married Richard M. Snyder, and he died July 23, 1982. Surviving are two sons, William S. Snyder, Dunkirk, and James R. Snyder, LaRue; two daughters, Barbara May, Mansfield, and Mary Ann Snyder, LaRue; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Pat-ton, Fort Wayne, Ind.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A brother is deceased. The service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, with the Rev. Jerry Lewis officiating. Burial will be in LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. and in the evening Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Delaware County Humane Society.
