Harold Surber
Flag Feb 14, 1991-Services for Harold Surber will  be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, by the Rev. C. L. Fuqua, with burial in  LaRue Cemetery.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
He died at 5:28 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 1991, at Marlon General Hospital.
He was born March 29.1927,in Pulaski, Ky, to Robert R. and Mar-inda (Osborne) Surber. He married Marilyn R. Derringer in Kenton March 14, 1945, and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons. Dale R. and Robert W., both of Marlon; four grandchildren; and a sister, Lenore Asher of Marlon. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
He was a salesman at D&W  Paint Co. of Marion, prior to which  he owned and operated a service station in LaRue for more than 30  years.
He was a former village council- man and also was a former member of the LaRue Fire Volun- teer Department, where he had  been chief at one time.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and  a member of the LaRue American  Legion post.
