LARUE Elizabeth Sandy, 83, Kiwanis Village, LaRue, died at 1:10 p.m. Friday March 20, 1992 at Marion General Hospital.
Born Aug. 3, 1908, in Champagne County, she was the daughter of Justus and Elizabeth Evilsizor Matteson. She is survived by two sons, Justus Fish, Marion, and Melvin Sandy, Bucyrus; three daughters, Mrs. Paul (Betty Jo) Shoup, Upper Sandusky, Mrs. Vernon (Geneva) Lane, Richwood, and Susan Shifflet, Marion; a sister, Christine Dilger, Colorado; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. One son, James Sandy, two infant daughters, one brother and one sister are deceased. The homemaker was a member of the LaRue Baptist Church and the LaRue Senior Citizens. She did babysitting for many families in LaRue for many years. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 11 am. Tuesday at Claiboume Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Pasma officiating. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. tonight at the Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue. Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Ohio Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation.
