March 25, 1992- The service for James L. Randies, 69,3898 DeCliff-Big Island Road, will be 10 am Saturday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, with the Rev. Paul Detterman officiating. Burial with military graveside rites by the American Legion will follow in Chapel Heights Memory Gardens.
Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to Central Ohio Diabetes Association. Mr. Randies died early Wednesday at his home. He was bom in Coshocton County Nov. 27,1922, the son of the late Howard and Mary Wilson Randies. He was retired from farming and also had been employed as a truck driver. The World War II U.S. Army veteran was a member of American Legion Pnillippi-Clemens Post 101, LaRue. On April 13, 1946, he married the former Norma B. Matson, and she sur- vives. Also surviving are two sons, David Randies, Columbus, and Charles Randies, Bucyrus; a daughter, Beverly Fowler, Gloucester, Va.; and five grandchildren.
