Arthur Robert "Art" Gibson
LARUE - Arthur Robert "Art" Gibson, 68, 8468 County Road 46, Galion, died Thursday evening April 23, 1992 at Morrow County Hospital, Mount Gilead.
Born Sept. 17, 1923, in Marion, he was the son of the late Greer and Ruth (Cramer) Gibson.
On July 30, 1944, he married Doris Daniels. She survives.
The retired farmer at one time served on the advisory committee of the Production Credit Association and was a dealer with Clayton and Lambert Mfg. He lived in the LaRue are until 1959 and Marion until 1962, when he moved to Morrow County.
Also surviving are a son, Larry A. Gibson, Galion; three daughters, Janice Strouse, Crestline, Mrs. Jack (Janet) Walker, Mount Gilead, and Sharon Allen, LaRue; four brothers, William F. Gibson, Galion, Jack E. and Richard Gibson, both Marion, and Darrell "Todd" Gibson, Richwood; four sisters, Norma L. Carpenter, Richwood, Opal Gibson, Galion, Betty J. Ricker, Lima, and Anna Mae James, New Bloomington; and eight grandchildren.
The funeral is 2 p.m. Sunday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, with the Rev. Douglas A. Bryan officiating. Burial is in LaRue Cemetery.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Saturday and Saturday evening at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may- be made to the James Cancer Hospital and Research Institute, 300 West 12th St., Columbus, 43210.
