John J. Tarvin, 67, 352 Cherry St., died Friday morning May 1, 1992 at Maplewood. Nursing Home.
He was bom in Dayton May 10, 1924, the son of the late John and Nora Mahaffey Tarvin. The World War II U.S. Navy vet-erna was a member of Christ Crusaders Church, American Legion Post 584, and VFW Millcreek Post, Marysville. Mr. Tarvin is survived by his wife, the former Marylin Myers; a stepson, Roger B. Buyer, Pemberville; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Dennis (Dale Marie) Whalen, California; Mrs. Har- mon (Cindy) Fown and Kelly Jo Wireman, LaRue; and four stepgrand- children. A sister is deceased. A memorial service will be con-j ducted 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Christ Crusaders Church, 540 Windsor St. with the Rev. Mike Murrell officiating- Arrangements are being handled by Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue. Calling hours will not be observed.
