LARUE - - Ruby Elizabeth Cooper, 76, 1131 Winnemac Pike, died Saturday evening June 27, 1992 at her residence.
BomApril 13,1916,in Green Camp, she was the daughter of the late James D. and Lizzie (Carr) Chard. On Oct. 20, 1934, she married Ivan Cooper in Greenup, Ky. He survives. The homemaker was a member of LaRue United Methodist Church, where she was chairman of the Outreach Committee, a member of United Methodist Administration Council and Mary Martha Circle. She was a member of LaRue Garden Club, J.A.M. Club, and Artisan's Club. Mrs, Cooper also was a member of LaRue School committee and instrumental in starting the first kindergarten in the area. Also surviving are four sons, Gene Cooper, Grand Rapids, Mich., Keith Cooper, Oxford, Jon Cooper, LaRue, and Michael D. Cooper, Galion; 12 grandchildren and 13 •great-grandchildren. Three brothers and a sister are deceased. The funeral is 11 am Thursday at LaRue United Methodist Church with the Rev. Davis M. Elliott officiating. Burial is in LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue. Memorial contributions may be made to Quality of Life Hospice.
