Marvin E. Harper, 68,4684 Green Camp Essex Rd., died at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday Aug 12, 1992 at Marion General Hospital.
Bom July 18,1924, in Green Camp Township, Marion County, he was the son of the late Cass and Lucy (Zeig) Harper. On Aug. 26,1949, he married the former Madeline Sutton. She died April 29,1980. Mr. Harper was a former sheet metal worker at Marion Power Shovel. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Veme I. Mounts Post 368, American Legion, Prospect. Surviving are companion, Eunice Howeil; a stepson Roy Wells, Jr., Akron; five step-grandchildren and 13 step-great-grandchildren. The funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, with the Rev. Gordon Avey officiating. Burial is in Green Camp Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
