Bette Jane Laird, 62, died early Thursday morning, Aug. 27,1992, at her residence in Richwood.
She had formerly worked at the B. F. Goodrich Plant in Green Camp. She was a member of the Richwood First United Methodist Church and the Richwood O.E.S. #42. She was born in Springfield on Sept. 13, 1929 to Francis "Red" and Mildred Reese Jackson who preceded her in death. I On Sept 4, 1974, in Clifton, Va, she married Robert E. Laird who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Diana Scheiderer of Marysville and Denise Mills of Powell; three grandchildren, Aaron Scheiderer, Shea and Bryn Mills; three sisters, Mrs. Helen Feasel and Mrs. Glenn (Peggy) Wy-koff, both of Marysville and Mrs. Gerry (Susie) Kirkbride of Zanesville. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Wilbur Boyer will officiate and interment will be at the Claibourne Cemetery.
