LARUE—Alma L. Close, 72, 20678 State Route 37, died Friday January 15, 1993 at her residence.
She was bom Aug. 30, 1920, in Marion. Her mother was H. Marie Mason. She first married Ervin L. Baughman in 1938. He died in October 1968. On Dec. 5,1971, she married Earl Melvin Close and he died July 28, 1988. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Wilfred (Phyllis) Blair, Santee, Calif.; four stepsons, Dale Close, Marion, Earl and Dick Close, Florida, and Jerry Close, Cleveland; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Allen (Sharon) Wyman, Florida, and Mrs. Barbara Harrah, Upper Sandusky. There are step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held 11:30 Friday morning at Fehl Cemetery near Marseilles. The Rev. Lan A. Blair and the Rev. Stan Rankin will officiate. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Victory CenterChurch of God. Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue is handling arrangements.
