Vallie Louise Benson. 90. Green Valley, Ariz., formerly of LaRue, died Thursday afternoon July 29, 1993 at Park Health Care Center. LaPasada, Ariz.
Born Oct. 26, 1902, in Columbus, she was the daughter of the late Harvey A. and Sallie (Burdge) Roderick. On June 23, 1926, she married Floyd William Benson and he survives. Also surviving is a nephew. C.L. Roderick, Lancaster, Pa. Mrs. Benson was preceded in death by two brothers. She was a member of Green Valley Community Church; a 1920 graduate of Marion Harding High School; a member of Eastern Star, Lima; and the Country Club. Green Valley, Ariz. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue. Dr. Kenneth E. Swenson will officiate with burial in LaRue Cemetery .Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, 451 North Cable Road, Lima. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, Lima.
