LARUE — Chester W. "Hap" Kerr, LaRue, died Monday morning December 13, 1993 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. He was 83.
Born Feb. 26, 1910, in Marion County, he was the son of the late C.J. and Cecelia Ellen (Monette) Kerr. He had worked in the LaRue area doing various jobs over the years. He is survived a brother, Earnest Kerr, Columbus; a sister, Mrs. Erdine Seybold, Mansfield; nieces; and nephews. Two brothers and four sisters preceded him in death. Mr. Kerr managed Fox Theatre in LaRue and worked at the service station at the Sally Ann Restaurant for several years. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, where calling hours will be 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in LaRue Cemetery. The Rev. David Elliott and the Rev. John Friend will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
