Paul G. Speyer

RICHWOOD—Paul G. Speyer, 89, Kinney Pike, died Sunday evening at Marion General Hospital. Born July 6,1904, in Springfield, he was the son of Peter John and Anna Mary (Paul) Speyer. Mr. Speyer was a farmer and a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church, LaRue; Richwood Lions Club; Knights of Columbus, third degree;Claiboume Grange; and Farm Bureau. On Oct 1,1924, in Wheeling, W.Va., he married Madonna Speyer in Wheeling, W. Va. She died May 22,1993. Surviving are a son, Paul J. Speyer, Richwood; two daughters, Kathryn A. Hook, Richwood and Sarah J. Habinak, Houston, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. . A sister, Kathryn Zuspan; a grandson; and a great-grandson preceded him in death.\. A funeral mass will be said 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, LaRue, with the Rev., Joseph Losh officiating. Burial will be in Price Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Stofcheck Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Richwood Emergency Squad Association or Lions Eye Bank.
