RICHWOOD — Bertha E. Beckley, 91, Richwood, died Sunday morning January 16, 1994 at Corinthian Nursing Home, Kenton.
ShewasbornApril9,1902, in Marion County, to the late John and Louisa (Rhomansbacher) Black. She married George H. Beckley on Aug. 12, 1923. He died Sept. 25, 1980: Mrs. Beckley was a homemaker and had worked at the former Blake's Restaurant in Richwoodj Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Dwight (Lena) Murray, Kenton; four sons, Kenneth Beckley, Delaware, George Beckley, Richwood, Earl Beckley, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and John Beckley, Richwood; a stepson, William Beckley, Richwood; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; five gfeat-great-grandchildren;. 10. stepgrandchildren; and. .several stepgfeat-graridchildren., She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, two grandchildren and seven brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, Richwood, where friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Price Cemetery with the Rev. Dean Pierce officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Richwood Civic Center in care of the funeral home.
