Goldie Marie Wood
RICHWOOD—Goldie Marie Wood, 84, died Saturday evening February 5, 1994 at her home. BornMarch 10,1909,inMarion County, she was a daughter of Earl and Laura (Miley) Stiffler. She married Vernon Wood, who died in 1946. She then married Merle Wood. He died in 1953.
Surviving are three sons, Lester and Donald Wood, both Prospect, and Charles Wood, West Palm Beach; Fla.; four daughters, Ruth Gray and Thelma Fields, both Richwood, Margaret Haney and Mary Lou Ferguson, both Marysville; abrother, Cliff Stiffler, Prospect; a sister, Hazel Cluff, Greensboro, N.C.; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. One brother, Art Stiffler, is deceased.
Mrs. Wood had worked atMedCenter Hospital as a cook. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Prospect.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Prospect. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, Richwood. Burial will be in Claiboume Cemetery with the Rev. Monty Kaufman officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or Richwood Emergency Squad Association.
