Gladys Morse Robinson
May 23, 1994 The service for Gladys Morse Robinson, 99, 992 Congress St., will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, with the Rev. Ohmer Swart officiating. Burial will follow in LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before the service.
Mrs. Robinson died Monday afternoon at MedCenter Hospital.
She was born March 2, 1895, in Hardin County, adaughterof Rufus and Isabelle (Morse) Clement.
On Sept. 24,1914, she married Jesse "Clyde" Robinson, and he died Oct. 13, 1973.
With her husband she operated Sally Ann's Restaurant from 1953-54, and then owned Hepburn Grocery from 1954 through 1960. She was a member of First Church of God and its Missionary-Society and prayer group, and had been a member at one time of Hepburn United Methodist Church.
She was a member of the Women's Christian Temperance Union since 1930, served as. leader in the Loyal Temperance League and was a member of the Hepburn Hobby Club.
In addition to her husabnd, she was preceded in death by a sister. She is survived only by a close friend, Ruth McCurdy, Marion.
