Freeman E. Clark
Freeman E. Clark, 71. 5160 Kenton-Galion Rd. died 11:30 a.m. Friday October 14, 1994 in the emergency room at Marion General Hospital.
He was born Dec. 8, 1922 in Catoosa. Tenn.. the son of the late Arthur B. and Effie Florence (Kreis) Clark. On April 23. 1952. he married Lucienne M.A. Camille and she survives.
He served in the U.S. Army from Sept. 12, 1942 to Oct. 31, 1963, which encompassed both World War JJ and the Korean conflict. After retiring from the military, he worked in maintenance at Marion Correctional Institution 20 years.
He is also survived by two sons. Lawrence C. Clark, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Charles G. Clark, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Maggie) Bingley, Houston, Tex., and Mrs. William (Mary) Honaker, Marion; four sisters, Idella M. Letner, Oneida, Tenn.; Louella Hendricks, Vera Lines, both Marion; Ruby Rinesmith, Findlay; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, a grandson and four brothers.
Funeral services will be held 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, with Father Frederick Furey officiating. Burial will be in LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today.
Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Phillippi-Clements Post 101 American Legion, LaRue.
