Janet I. Cross, 58, of Venice, Fla., formerly of Richwood, died Wednesday, March 22, 1995, at the Venice Hospital.
She was of the Methodist faith and had worked as an operator at GTE for 14 years before retiring in 1974. She was born in Richwood on Jan. 26,1937, to Carl and Celia Bixler Cudd. She was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her mother in Richwood; three daughters, Christy McGee of Logansport, Ind., Misty McCloud of North Port, Fla., and Mary Vercheski of Venice; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Joan Austin of Marion and Carta Buchanan of Denver, Colo. Following cremation in Florida, a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. The Rev. Cliff Fryda will officiate and interment of the cremains will follow at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cenrial 0hio Kidney Foundation.
