Dempsey A. King
Dempsey A.  King,  83,  681
Herman St., died Wednesday May 17, 1995 at Marion General Hospital.
He was born Feb. 27, 1912, in Clendenin,  WVa., the son of the late David B. and Betty (McClinick) King.
On June 17, 1938, he married Genevieve H. Mick, and she, died May 7,1992.
Mr. King had retired from Kaiser Aluminum in Ravenswood, W.Va. A World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy, he was a former member of the Masons, Moose and Odd Fellows lodges and the American Legion, all in West Virginia.
He is survived by a son, James R. King, Marion; a half brother, Roscoe Mullins, South Charleston, W.Va.; a half sister, Dovey Kennedy, also South Charleston; and four grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Fairview Cemetery with the,Rev. Terry Cudd officiating. Military services will be conducted by Phillipi-Clement Post 101 American Legion, LaRue. Calling hours will not be observed. Arrangements are being handled by Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue.
Memorial contributions may be made to Caledonia Baptist Temple.
