RICHWOOD — Robert E.Erwin, 76, died Monday October 5, 1995 at Marion General Hospital.
Bom May 7, 1919, in Richwood, he was the son of Fred and May (Johnson) Erwin. On Feb. 24, 1946, in Richwood, he married the former Rachel M. Baker, and she survives. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Richwood, V.F.W. Post 870, and Baccarat American Legion Post 40. He is also survived by a son, Daniel L. Erwin, Richwood; a brother, Fred L Erwin, Tucscn, Ariz.; a sister, Betty McAlister, also Tucson; Joseph L. Howald, Richwood; and two granddaughters. A private graveside service is at Claibourne Cemetery. Calling hours will not be observed at Stofcheck Funeral Home, which is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Richwood Civic Center, 235 Grove St or the VFW, 9 W. Blagrove St, Richwood, 43344.
