RICHWOOD — Edd L. McNickle, 56, died Tuesday January 9, 1996 at his residence in rural Richwood.
Born Sept. 13,1939, in Marengo, he was the son of Herbert and Gladys Renee (Davis) McNickle. His father and stepmother, Evelyn, survive in Marengo. On Feb. 19, 1965, in Mount Gilead, he married Betty Lou Douglas, and she survives. He was the owner of the Heritage Restaurant and owner of the Variety Travel Agency, Marysville and Delaware. He was a member of the Essex U ri i t e; d Methodist Church, where he was teacher of the Pilgrims Sunday School Class. An avid golfer, he was. a member of Richwood Golf League and the Sweet 16 Golfers. He is also survived by two sons, Terry Welsh, Richwood, and Kent Lee McNickle, Columbus; a daughter, Mrs. Scott (Lou Ann) Davis, Richwood; two sisters, Mrs. Paul (Betty) Storer and Mrs. Walt (Mary Lou) Walters, both Marengo; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday at Stofcheck Funeral Home with the Rev. Carman Minarik officiating. Burial is in Price Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Quality of Life Hospice, 458 E. Center St., Marion, 43302, and/or the Essex United Methodist Church.
