Marvin O. Hall
RICHWOOD Marvin O. Hall, 76, of the Essex area, died Tuesday January 23, 1996 at Columbia Park Medical Center in Orlando, Fla.
Born Aug. 27, 1919, in Jackson Township, he was the son of the late Oliver P. and Gertrude (Schaeffing) Hall.
On Aug. 3, 1947, at Union Baptist Church, West Jackson, he married the former Delia Jean Cochran, and she survives.
He was a retired farmer and a member of Essex United Methodist Church, a veteran of World War II in the Merchant Marines, former member of the Jackson and North Union school boards, Farm Bureau Council, Union County Fair Board, and Union County Democrats.
He also is survived by a son, James Hall, Essex; three daughters, Mrs. Greg (Cheryl) Jordan, Hilliard, Mrs. Greg (Linda) Casto, Marysville, and Mrs. William (Maria) Moss, Marshall, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Charles (Pauline) Sivey, Richwood, Mrs. Ralph (Helen) Ridge, Richwood; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Delmar; and a brother and a sister.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday at Essex United Methodist Church with the Rev. Carman Minarik officiating. Burial is in Price Cemetery. Friends-may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Stofcheck Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Essex United Methodist Church.
