Jane Elizabeth Fields
LARUE — Jane Elizabeth Fields, 67, 275 E. Vine St., died SundayApril 7, 1996 at Morning View Care Center.
Bora D.ec. 9, 1928. in Van Wert, she was the daughter of the late Emmett and Jessie (Long) Fox.
She first married Lewis V. Thompson. Then on March 31, 1956, she married Charles M. Fields and hadied Oct. 1,1992.
Mrs. Fields first came to LaRue in 1962 from Richwood where she had lived many years. She was a homemaker and also worked as a waitress at the Sally Ann Restaurant, Coonie's Bar and Old Isaly's, Richwood.
She is survived by three sons, Vernon J. Thompson, Bobby Dean Thompson, and Kip G. Fields, all LaRue; three daughters, Linda L. Redd and Koneta J. Shelton, both Marion, and Betty L. Fields, LaRue; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by two stepsons, Larry M. Fields, Marion, and Charles M. Fields, Somersville; two stepdaughters, Sharon L. Young. Somersville, and Beverly Slonecker, Richwood; 21 step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother, a sister, seven grandchildren, a stepson, a stepdaughter and two step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue. The Rev. Robert Gordon will officiate, with burial in Price Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Association, or to the family.
