John Leland Leeper, 82, of Richwood died Sunday, June 16,1996, at his residence.
A 1932 graduate of Raymond High School, he was retired as manager and grain merchandiser with Landmark in Union County. He was a member of the Pharisburg United Methodist Church and a former member of the Leesburg-Magnetic School Board and the Marysville and Mill Creek Golf Clubs. He was bom Aug. 17,1913, in Taylor Township to the late Harry W. and Ethel Growe Leeper. He married G. Eline Evans July 15,1933, in Greenup, Ky., and she died Feb. 4,1992. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Anne; two brothers, Carroll and Derwood; and a half-sister, Mearl Lane. He is survived by two sons, Larry L. Leeper of Richwood and Ronald E. Leeper of Marysville; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Leeper of Mechanicsburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 am. Wednesday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Scott Nichols will officiate and burial will be at the Hopewell Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
