Damon Leffler
Damon Leffler, 86, 9404 North St., LaRue, died Tuesday July 16, 1996 at his residence.
Born May 25, 1910, in Marion County, he was the son of the late John and Ethel (Ledley) Leffler.
On Sept. 29, 1941, he married Mary Ellen Shirk, and she survives.
He worked all his life for the Lingo Oil Go. delivering oil and operating the gas station in Mount Victory. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and member of Phillippi-Clement American Legion
Post 101.
He is also survived by three half brothers, Lawrence G. Fields, LaRue, Keith Fields, Worthington, and Paul A. Fields, LaRue, and a stepbrother, Lester Fields, Mesa, Ariz.; and nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, with the Rev. James Mason. Burial is in Agosta Cemetery, where graveside rites will be conducted by the Phillippi-Clement American Legion Post 101. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
