Gary H. Rutan
Gary H. Rutan, 51. 15709 Township Road 245, LaRue, died Friday October 4, 1996 at his residence.
Born Feb 13. 1945. Mouni Vernon, he was the son of James Otis, who survives in Columbus, and the late Dorothy (Carpenter) Rutan.
On Nov. 2. 1965 he married Sharon L. McCiellen. who survives.
He graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1964, served three years with the U.S. Army in Vietnam and then settled in Marion in 1968. He was employed by Tecumseh Products Co. for 10 years, earning his journeyman electrician's certificate in 1975. He worked at Broderick Co.. Kenton, for eight years, and C & H Manufacturing. Manor:. He attended LaRue United Methodisi Church, and was a member of William Britton WW Post 6817. Mount Victors', and F.O.E. Aric 2163. Kenton.
He is survived by a stepmother Bernice Rutan. Columbus; daughter. Mrs. Larry (Shelly Cornet. Centerville: and two grandsons. He was preceded in death by a son. Cary Rutan.
The funeral is 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at LaRue United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Joanne A. Powers officiating. Burial is in LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at Stofcheck Funeral Home LaRue. 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the VFW post
Memonal contributions may be made to the Hospice- of Harding County.
