UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS — Donald Adelbert Spicer, 82. 3953 Lansdale Road, formerly of LaRue, died Sunday October 22, 1996 at the VA Hospital, Cleveland.
Born Aug. 18, 1914, in LaRue, he was the son of the late Adelbert and Eva (Thomasson) Spicer.
Twice married, he first married Doris Slough and she survives in Cleveland Heights. He later married Delia Grimaldi and she also survives at home.
A career U.S. Army veteran, he served 30 years in the finance department of the Army.
He is also survived by a son, Frederick Spicer, University Heights; a daughter, Mrs. Hilton (Sheila) Murray, Cleveland Heights: two stepsons, Antonio and Umbertc Capaobinco, both of Naples, Italy; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael, two brothers and two sisters.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, with the Rev. Keith Weller officiating. Burial is in Marion Cemetery, where graveside military rites will be conducted by the Marion County United Veterans Council. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
