Richard D. Flavell II, 44, of Richwood died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 15, 1997, at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
He was a belt repairman at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Marysville and had worked at the former Tecumseh plant in Marion and at the Marion Steel Company. He was an Army veteran and was a member of American Legion Post 584 in Marion. He was bom June 30,1952, in Great Lakes, 111., to Richard D. and Valarie Varga Flavell. He is survived by his parents of Marion; his wife, Linda K. Willis Flavell whom he married July 24,1976 in Marion; a son, Chester David Flavell of Marion; three grandchildren, Kyle, Gunnar and Waryn; and three sisters, Connie Flavell of Marion, Kellie (Larry) Tobin of Edison; and Cathy (Vinnie) Costa of Connecticut. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Marion Christian Center, 1550 Richland Road, Marion. The Rev. Greg Masteller will officiate and burial will be at the Claibourne Cemetery where military services will be conducted by the Marion County United Veterans Council. Friends may call from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at theStofcheck Funeral Homein Richwood. ] Memorial contributions may be made to the Marion Christian Center nursery department.
