Ralph Wilbert Styer
Ralph Wilbert Styer, 84, of Richwood died Monday, April 21, 1997, at Memorial Hospital of Union County.
He was a farmer and after retirement worked at Buehler's in Delaware for 15 years. He was a member of the Claibourne United Methodist Church and the former Leesburg Grange.
He was born Sept 3,1912, in Radnor to the late Wilbert Fay and Hazel Ann Herd Slyer. He was preceded in death on Jan. 23,1956, by his first wife, Hazel McCafferty Styer, whom he married June 21,1938; and an infant son, Ralph Wilbert Styer.
He is survived by his wife, Geneva C. Siders Styer, whom he married March 29,1961, in New Vienna; .a son, Robert (Charlotte) Styer of Marion; two daughters, Mary Ann (Ray) Sine of Urbana and Ruthie (James) Parker of Bucyrus; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lola Hull of Richwood.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Claibourne United Methodist Church. The.Revs. James Caister and Glenn Decker will officiate and burial will be at the Maskill Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood.
Pallbearers will be Larry and Gary Burris, Michael Styer, John Hull, Lee McCafferty and Brian Scott.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Claibourne United Methodist Church.
