COLUMBUS — Mabel Elizabeth LaRue-Dean, age 82, of Beaumont Road, Columbus, died suddenly at 3:44 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 8, 1997, at the Emergency Dept; at Riverside Hospital in Columbus.
She was born May 16, 1917, in Concord, Mass., to the late Rev. Clarence H. and Elizabeth (McElheny) LaRue. She is survived by one son, John Cleveland Dean, Columbus; two grandsons, William Jason Horman and Thomas Fairfax Dean. One sister, Eunice LaRue, is deceased. She had worked for the State of Ohio with the Bureau of Crippled Childrens Services. She was a member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church and the Wesleyan Service Guild. Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 12,1997, at 1:30 p.m. at the LaRue United Methodist Church. Minister will be the Rev. Joanne A. Powers. Burial is in the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue, from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday. Those who wish may make contributions to the Friends of W.O.S.U..
