Larry R. (Hoss) Smith, age 45, of 65 South St., LaRue, was pronounced dead at the emergency department of MedCenter Hospital at 4:25 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, 1997.
He was born March 20, 1952, in Washington Court House, to Marion Smith of Washington Court House and Margaret (Butler) Smith of Mount Victory. On Aug. 1, 1991, he married Sandra Cobb and she survives. Also surviving are three sons, Jason Smith of Woodsfield, Billy Smith and Barry Smith, both at home; four brothers, Gale Steel of Kenton, Gary Smith of Belle Chase, La., Mike Smith and Robin Smith, both of Mount Victory; one sister, Mrs. Debbie Swartz of Big Springs. He worked at the paint department of Honda Motorcycle Plant. He was a very well known handyman around the LaRue area and was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in he U.S. Marine Corps. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 20,1997, at 6 p.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue, Ohio. Minister will be the Rev. Tim Pasrna officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Graveside services at Wolf Creek Cemetery will be held at a later date.
