Russell J. Slone, 36, of Pharisburg died Thursday at Memorial Hospital of Union County.
He was a laborer in Delaware County for many years and liked to fish and spend time with his family and friends. He was bom June 25, 1961 in Hindman, Ky. He is survived by his parents, James E. and Edna Mae (Combs) Slone of Pharisburg; four sons, Shaun, Brandon, Dwayne and Joey; their mother, Clara Jo Slone of Delaware; four brothers, Curtis of Pharisburg, Jimmy (Mary Ann) of Marysville, Alfred of Delaware and Danny (Dorothy) of Bellefontaine; two sisters, Josephine Slone of Marion and Lucy (Jack) Mose-ly of Pharisburg; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Carrol Mathys will officiate and burial will be at the Hopewell Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday. Pall Bearers will be Richard Smith Sr., Richard Smith Jr., Bob Smith, Edwin Slone, Mike Bright and David Richie.
