Ronald E. Cunningham
Ronald E. Cunningham, 57, of Marysville died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1999, at Kobacker House at Riverside Hospital.
He was a 1959 graduate of Leesburg-Magnetic High School and a farmer and Honda of America employee. He was a member of the Pharisburg United Methodist Church and the Union County Fair Board. He was a member of the board of directors of the Union Rural Electric Cooperative and a fireman for the Leesburg Township Fire Department for many years.
He was active with the Young Farmers and served on the state council and was a member of the Ohio and National Brown Swiss Association in which he held various offices. He earned his American Farmer Degree and was the Ohio Outstanding Young Farmer of the Year in 1976. He enjoyed watching sports with his family, especially North Union and Ohio State.
He was bom July 20, 1941, in Marion to the William Bernard "Bud" and Lelia Ballard Cunningham and was predeceased by his father and a son, Chris.
He is survived by his mother of Richwood; his wife, Toby Ridge Cunningham whom he married Nov. 23, 1963, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Marysville; two sons, Chad (Melissa) Cunningham of Richwood and Curt Cunningham of Urbana; a daughter, Carrie Cunningham of Marysville; a brother, Gary (Gloria) Cunningham of Marysville; a sister, Sue (Michael) Hoffman of Richwood; mother- and father-in-law, Hugh and Margaret Ridge of Richwood; sisters-in-law, Laurie (Mike) Goddard of Rich-wood and Barb (Duane) Kavanagh of Richwood; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Revs. Joseph Rhea and Barry Bentz will officiate and burial will be at the Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Kobacker House, Hospice at Riverside, 3595 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, Ohio 43214.
