Warren George Holtsberry
MEEKER — Warren George Holtsberry, 77, of 6586 Main St., Meeker, died Friday, Jan. 8,1999, at 7:30 a.m. at his residence.
He was born March 4,1921, in Marion, to the late Charles and Lula Lodena (Martin) Holtsberry. On April 6, 1940, he married Sarah Janice Rider. She died Jan. 2,1998.
He is survived by five sons, Charles of Lost Lake, Calif., Dennis of Richmond, Ind., Nickey of Fort Payne, Ala., Mark of Meeker, and Stacy of Marion; two daughters, Shelley Ray of Richmond, Ind., and Melinna Holtsberry of Mount Gilead; 10 grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren; and one sister, Ruth Vaughn of Caledonia.
He was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.
He was retired from B.F. Goodrich Co, having worked in the maintenance department. He was a WW. II Army veteran and a member of the Meeker Sportsmans Club.
Graveside services will be held at a later date. There are no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to TV 39 Marion, Ohio. Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue is in charge of arrangements.

My sincere condolences, although his passing its been awhile. I believe this is the same Warren G. Holtsberry that served with my grandfather Owen E. McLain in the occupation of japan with the 64th FA Bn. Btry A 25 th infantry division. I have some pictures that I would like to share with his family to get a definate identifacation as of now I'm just going by the sgt. Stripes on his sleave .
