Paul Maurice Lightfoot
LARUE — Paul Maurice Lightfoot, age 83, of LaRue, Ohio, died Saturday, May 22,1999, at his residence.
He was born March 21, 1916, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Clarence Edgar and Mary Ann (Stone) Lightfoot.
On Nov. 24, 1938, he married Betty Jane Clements, and she died June 6,1977.
He is survived by one son, P. Mil-ton (Peggy) Lightfoot of LaRue; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Sue McKay of Pataskala, Ohio; six grandchildren, Roderick (Margaret) Lightfoot of Worthington, Brian (Tricia) Lightfoot of Marion, Mary McKay of Pataskala, Susan McKay of Reynoldsburg, Kyle Stevens of Lawrence, Kan, and Neil Stevens of Wichita, Kan.; two great-grandchildren, Alison and Kathleen Lightfoot; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathleen Stevens, and four sisters, Viva Barbee, Claris Dove, Alice Dix and Beulah Devine.
Mr. Lightfoot was a retired crane operator for the Marion Army Engineers Depot. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, member of the DAV, the LaRue Lodge #463 F & AM, Mary Lenox Chapter 98 OES. He was past master of the lodge and past worthy patron of the Star.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 27, 1999, at 1 p.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue, Ohio. Minister will be the Rev. Joanne A. Powers. Burial in the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, where Masonic services will be held at 7:45 p.m. by the LaRue Lodge.
Those who wish may make contributions to either the American Heart Association or the charity of the donor's choice.
