Goldia C. Clewell
LARUE — Goldia C. Clewell, age 90, of LaRue, died Monday, Oct. 4,1999, at 3:10 a.m. at Community Healthcare Center in Marion, Ohio.
She was born Aug. 11,1909, in Cumby, Texas, to the late Cross and Margaret (McDonald) Mitchell.
On Sept. 9, 1926, she married Paul Clewell, and he died Feb. 11, 1984. She was also preceded in death by her son, Charles P. Clewell, and two brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Lois Clewell of Marion; six grandchildren, Mrs. Nancy (Lester) Henderson of Wellington, Ohio, Mrs. Beverly (Richard) Kirby of Elizabeth-town, Ky., Mrs. Charlene (Kevin) Kilzer of Chandler, Ariz., Mrs. Tanya (Rick) Perrill of Dayton, Ky., Bruce (Jackie) Clewell of Auburn, Ky., and Jeff (Kim) Clewell of Marion, Ohio; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Clewell was a homemak-er and a seamstress, member of the LaRue United Methodist Church, the former LaRue Business Women's Club and the Lydia Chapter 83 Order of Eastern Star of Marion.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 7, 1999, at 1 p.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in LaRue, Ohio. Minister will be the Rev. Darlene Weidner. Burial in the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home in LaRue from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
Those who wish may make contributions to either the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 24 in Marion or the American Cancer Society.
